Brookfield was built back in 1986. Brehm Communities was the developer and it's president Woody Brehm envisioned an affordable family type neighborhood on the backside of La Costa. It was next to the only other homes in that location at the time, Medowwood the townhomes.
The HOA was only $36 dollars for the pool area and the common slopes. The area homes sold quickly as the price point back then was $109,000- $142,000. The smallest floor plan is a 2/2 single level. The next plan had a bedroom/den on the main level with 2 bedrooms up. The remaining 2 plans were both 3 bedrooms with 1685 sq ft and 1813 sq ft.
Since that time, many folks have put in another room, the living rooms had vaulted ceilings and was a perfect spot to add square footage. Today home prices start in the $400,000s up into the $600.000s.
